# hooks

Docs for TrueQuery 0.1.6. Show or set up the checks that run as the agent edits.

**For everyone.** In Claude Code this is a `/truequery` slash command. In Muse Code, describe the task in your own words, or load the skill with `/skill truequery`. In Codex the skill isn't here yet, only the checks.

```
/truequery hooks status
```

With the plugin, the checks are on already.

| Command | What it does |
|---|---|
| `/truequery hooks status` | Shows whether they're off, installed, or active from the plugin. It changes nothing. |
| `/truequery hooks on` | Sets them up for the agent you're in. If the plugin's are already active, it says so and stops. |
| `/truequery hooks off` | Removes installed ones. To stop the plugin's, disable the plugin. |

## What they do

Each edit to a SQL file, or a Python file with SQL inside or that imports pandas, is checked for bugs that are never intended. At the end of each turn, every enabled check runs over the files touched.

New findings go back to the agent once, a clean pass is silent, and no edit is ever refused.
